FTS NEW INITIAL CRIME INVESTIGATOR'S DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (ICIDP) COURSE
FTS have expanded their training portfolio to include the Initial Crime Investigator's Development Programme (ICIDP).
FTS Training Officer, John Scorfield, has already run the new six week Initial Crime Investigator's Development Programme (ICIDP) to the Police Eastern Region, of which 5 police forces attended the course.
Feedback from the course has been excellent from students and in force trainers alike. Comments inculude:
* I hope the region keeps the course going and does not revert back. An excellent course that has really changed my way of thinking and hopefully working! Thank you.
* Definitely benefited from course being ran as case scenario. Learnt more from this course than any other to date. Hope this format continues.
FTS Training Officer,John Scorfield,is a highly experienced trainer and was the key author of this new PIP level 2 compliant course when working for Centrex.
The course revolves around a case study of an investigation which the students run over the full six weeks. Therefore allowing the trainee investigators to be able to improve their investigative skills in several areas as a result of this programme.
FTS are currently engaged in tendering a number of forces to run future ICIDP courses on their behalf. The benefits that FTS bring to this type of training are numerous, not least from having the original course author being able to deliver the course itself.
