Oron Oriol Appointed President And Ceo Of Rafael Usa Inc.
Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd announces the appointment of Mr. Oron Oriol as President and CEO of Rafael USA Inc. Oriol takes over from Mr. Yigal Ben-Hanan, who has served as President and CEO since 2002.
Oriol, 48, has been with Rafael since 2001 where he was appointed as the Director of the Air-to-Air and Air Defense Directorate; fostering the advancement of Rafael's air defense programs, including the Spyder - short and medium range air defense system, the Iron Dome - short range rocket and missile defense system and the David's Sling - Short Range Ballistic Missile Defense (SRBMD) system, currently being developed in cooperation with Raytheon.
Oron Oriol retired from the Israeli Air Force after serving 24 years as a Fighter Pilot, Squadron Commander, Assistant Air Attaché in Washington DC as well as other important assignments.
Rafael's directors are confident that Oriol, while serving as President of Rafael USA Inc, will continue to advance Rafael's collaboration and strategic partnerships with US defense companies and strengthen its relationship with the US Armed Forces.
