JAI Receives Production Certificate & Type Certificate"
On December 4, 2003 JAI received a Production Certificate from the JCAA (Jordan Civil Aviation Authority) serial number 01, being the first to be issued in Jordan.
In order to manufacture a certified aircraft on any country, the manufacturer must obtain a Production Certificate, which is based on a detailed Quality Assurance program. With assistance from an American Canadian company, JAI implemented a quality program based on the stringent American FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulations (FAR Part 21). Now that JAI has a Production Certificate, production of the first aircraft SAMA CH2000 can be delivered to a Jordanian flying school before year-end.
JAI is now the first and only private enterprise in the Middle East to manufacture, assemble and service light general aviation certified aircraft.
