M-Systems Provides Solid-State Flash Disks to SaabTech's Digital Recording and Data Transfer System

M-Systems (Nasdaq: FLSH) revealed today that its 3.5" Ultra Wide SCSI FFD (Fast Flash Disk) product is being shipped with the SaabTech DiRECT (Digital Recording and Data Transfer System).

SaabTech's comprehensive airborne digital recording system has integrated the FFD 3.5" Ultra Wide SCSI as the storage media for three ongoing airborne projects. The DiRECT is a universal, digital mission recording system for airborne applications in fixed and rotary wing aircraft. All critical information, such as video, audio and data recordings, is being acquired and recorded by DiRECT.

"Highly reliable high-performance data storage is one of the many underlying features required by DiRECT users," said Kjell Jonasson, director of SaabTech's Airborne Recording Systems. "M-Systems' Ultra Wide SCSI FFD flash disk exceeds our expectations in terms of performance, endurance and data security and enables us to provide top-of-the-line airborne recording systems to our customers."

"Having SaabTech as one of M-Systems' FFD customers demonstrates that our products are ideal for airborne projects," said Eli Tiomkin, M-Systems' business development manager for the FFD product line. "We are pleased to be a supplier for the advanced recording systems of SaabTech."
