			Smiths Detection, part of global technology business Smiths Group,  has won a €12 million order to supply advanced X-ray cargo screening systems to Azerbaijan which is modernizing its customs services.   
The contract with the Caucasian republic comprises high energy HCV (Heimann Cargo Vision) systems designed to detect a range of explosives, weapons, drugs and contraband concealed in trucks, containers, vans and cars.

Over the last three years Smiths Detection has received multiple orders for X-ray screening and trace detection equipment from countries in the Caucasus.
