EnGarde have announced the introduction of our new MT-PROâ„¢ multi-threat panel that fits in many of our popular ballistic vests such as the DeLuxe, Patrol and Leopard. The MT-PROâ„¢ insert brings a new level of protection and performance by adding stab protection while maintaining the high standard of comfort our customers have come to expect from our ballistic products. Not only does our MT-PROâ„¢ meet the rigorous standards of NIJ Level IIIA, but we went even further by testing the MT-PROâ„¢'s bullet stopping capabilities against eight different types of ammunition! The MT-PROâ„¢ supplies excellent performance against close to the edge shots and complies with NIJ STD 0101.06, including the 30 minute water submersion test. By integrating Dyneema® fabrics from DSM with our proven TitanSkinâ„¢ anti-stab technology, we were able to develop a panel that not only provided superior ballistic performance but the MT-PROâ„¢ is one of the few products to be officially certified to stop the HOSDB P1 Blade at 15 Joules (<20mm) and a hypodermic needle at 5 Joules, according to VPAM KDIW 2004. FBI statistics reveal that knives are a close second to firearms when it comes to the most common threats faced by corrections officers, law enforcement and private security personnel. EnGarde customers wearing the MT-PROâ„¢ panels will gain extra stab protection without sacrificing either ballistic performance or comfort. While statistics show that attacks from knives and stabbing instruments result in fewer fatalities than gunshots, the overall injury rate is higher resulting in increased insurance-costs and employee downtime. EnGarde engineers have responded to this challenge by creating a true multi-threat panel that preserves the mobility and comfort of the wearer. We invite you to review the complete specs on our website here and check out our other new additions to the EnGarde line of ballistic panels!
