Smiths Detection Awarded Contract Option
Smiths Detection has been awarded a contract option for additional detectors in support of continued testing by the US Army under the Joint Chemical Agent Detector (JCAD) program. Testing will begin on 40 Smiths Detection Lightweight Chemical Detectors (LCD), the highly advanced non-radioactive chemical warfare agent point detector.
Variants of the LCD unit are in service with the armed forces of five other countries.
