The critical infrastructure protection system designed and developed by Terma offers a total meter-by-meter coverage of large areas.

Critical infrastructures like harbors, airports, and power plants are often protected by fences and walls which can be breached. Traditional electronic perimeter protection solutions typically monitor these outer lines, thus ignoring threats inside and outside the perimeter.

The critical infrastructure protection system designed and developed by Aerospace, Defense, and Security Company Terma offers a total meter-by-meter coverage of large areas, outside and inside the perimeter. This is made possible by a system that is engineered to analyze and combine data from multiple intelligent detection sensors and cameras.

"The T.react CIP solution provides a single coherent picture of activity in the entire protected area", explains Torri Blyitgen Danekilde, Project Manager, Terma. "We have designed and developed the system to provide a maximum level of security, situational awareness, and to control the external environment, regardless of size".

The system ensures that all relevant events are automatically detected, analyzed, prioritized, and presented according to severity - allowing operators to focus his attention on things that matter whilst the system sorts the action from distraction.

The system is designed to provide the means of identifying and tracking a threat, not just detecting. In most crisis situations, events escalate quickly and unpredictably. Every second counts, as operators and security staff try to both understand and regain control over the situation. Time and control are the two key factors when emphasis is on preventing a disaster from happening.

"T.react CIP has been designed to greatly enhance this capability, by presenting only relevant and accurate early warning information to the operator," explains Torri Blyitgen Danekilde.
