A recent report in the Jerusalem Post claims that scuba units will play "very important role" in any future conflict between the Palestinians and Israel.
This is not the first time that Palestinian terrorists have used scuba divers to attack Israel. Back in 2014 five Hamas frogmen tried to infiltrate five via Kibbutz Zikim. On that occasion they were engaged and killed by the IDF, but obviously they clearly regard this as a vulnerability, even for one of the most heavily defended states on the planet.
Following the successful terrorist scuba attacks in May against oil tankers near the Emirati port of Fujairah, the threat from scuba divers must be taken very seriously indeed by any port or vessel or any critical infrastructure sites that are waterside.
