Sepura is to supply 10,000 digital TETRA radios to the Pakistan police force, in the first phase of their migration to TETRA.

The contract was secured by its distributor, Vision Engineering Group Pakistan, with the country's Ministry of the Interior.

Further orders are expected to follow in a roll-out totalling 70,000 terminals over the next three to five years, as all branches of the Pakistan Police Force migrate from analogue to TETRA.

The Pakistan police force will be supplied with Sepura's SRH3800 sGPSâ„¢ Hand-held and SRM3500 and SRG3500 Mobile vehicle radios for use in the country's six major cities - Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta.

Sepura's entry in to Pakistan is further evidence of the Company's increasing international penetration, following other recent first-time sales in Australia, New Zealand, Macedonia and the Philippines. Sepura now have products in use in more than ninety countries.
