Paris suburb chooses Sepura's new STP8000 radio

The Paris suburb of Aulnay-sous-Bois is to equip its police and municipal services with Sepura's new STP8000 radio that is designed to be robust and easy to use.

In an order secured by SYSOCO, Sepura's partner in France, Aulnay follows the lead of many other French towns and cities that have all chosen Sepura, such as Le Havre, Chambéry, Nîmes, Aix en Provence, Nantes, Venissieux and Villeurbanne as well as the local transport system in Chambery and Lyon.

The new STP8000 radio is rugged and durable, with high transmitter power to extend network coverage where lower powered radios could struggle. This, together with very high audio output, provides exceptionally clear communications.

The introduction of TETRA will also enable all the municipal's agencies to communicate on one shared radio network.

Aulnay is a thriving city in the Ile-de-France area, near the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Pierre Letta, Marketing Director for SYSOCO, said: "The decision-makers of Aulnay saw the outstanding potential of Sepura's new radio. They also learnt how other towns and cities in France have been very pleased with the performance of Sepura radios."

Richard Redgrave, Regional Sales Director for Sepura, added: "This is an important milestone for Sepura and we have high expectations that our new STP8000 radio will become the preferred choice in France."
