Wagtail to provide IED security sweeps for Borderpol Annual Conference and Expo 2012
Wagtail UK Limited - Suppliers of Specialist Dog Services have confirmed they will be exhibiting at next year's Borderpol Annual Conference and Expo 2012 and as part of their involvement will provide explosive security sweeps on both days of the conference and exhibition.
Wagtail is one of the UK's leading specialist dog companies providing dogs and handlers for a wide variety of uses including detection of explosives, firearms, drugs, cash, tobacco, live bodies, human remains (cadaver) and search and rescue. Wagtail also provide dogs for use in wildlife detection. Their customers include the UK Border Agency for whom they are the sole provider of live body detection teams at border crossing points in Northern France. These teams operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
In the last 3 years of operations the Wagtail Dog Teams have detected over 8000 persons attempting to enter the UK illegally.
This success was rewarded in July 2011 when Wagtail received the prestigious accolade of 'Home Office Supplier of the Year'
Of his participation in the Borderpol Conference, Wagtail Managing Director, Collin Singer said; "We are delighted to be involved in this prestigeous international event and we look forward to exhibiting, and having the chance to explain our unique experience and capabilities to senior border practitioners from around the world."
Borderpol's first annual Conference and Exhibition takes place on 16th and 17th October 2012 at Westmnster City Hall, London, UK.
